Lake Tahoe at Night
When the day is over and you've done your hiking, boating, swimming or whatever,
at Lake Tahoe
you'll find yourself in the heart of great nightlife. There are three casinos
within 10 minutes of the condo
in another thiry minutes you'll be in Reno with another 15+ great casinos or
the southside of the lake
with 4 great casinos...Caesars, Harvey's, Harrah's, the Horizon and more.
Don't like to gamble? Where there are casinos there is always great entertainment,
headliners ( I saw
Jay Leno recently), comedy, music, plays and special events. Great dining, too,
and for every budget.
Personally, I like reasonably priced restaurants where you can sit with a view
of the lake. Of course,
the casino buffets are great for big eaters, i.e., people who want to eat a
whole lot for not too much money.
But there is no shortage of high end restaurants either. Try Garwoods, a five
minute walk from the Condo
with seating right on the lake. Enjoy the pier and perhaps a boat ride. Dinner
and cocktail cruises are
also available.

This is the CalNeva, my favorite and a former favorite
of Frank Sinatra's. It is the closest casino to the condo (less thant
10 minutes), has great views, good food and a great ambience.

This is Harvey's on the south side of the lake. Big casinos, lots of entertainment! |
| Want a bit of Las Vegas, just go to Reno! I was surprised at what a nice city Reno is...how many cities have you been to that have a beautiful, crystal clear (not polluted) river running through the middle of town? Be carefull if you go to Reno, you just might decide it is better than the city you are currently living in..I know people this has happened to! | ![]() |

The first week in August, every year, 5,000 to 10,000 hot rods, muscle cars and sports cars converge on Reno with a lot of fanfare, parties, concerts, etc. As an auto buff, this is the best event I've ever been to. Even if you aren't an auto buff, it may be your favorite, too! |
